Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our services.

  • You receive a written report reviewing the vehicle advert, photos, MOT history patterns, pricing clues and potential red flags. We highlight anything that looks risky or unusual and give practical guidance on what to ask the seller before viewing or paying a deposit. This is an independent consumer report — we work for buyers, not dealers.

  • Standard turnaround is up to 48 hours.

If you need it faster, you can select Express Processing at checkout, which prioritises your order and reduces the turnaround time.

  • No service can guarantee that, because we are not dismantling or inspecting the vehicle in person. What we do is significantly reduce your risk by identifying patterns, omissions and warning signs that buyers often miss. Our reports are designed to help you make safer, more informed decisions.

  • Free checks can be useful, but they are usually automated tools that only read basic advert data. They don’t explain what the information means, they don’t identify subtle dealer tactics, and they don’t look at how everything fits together. Our reports are reviewed by a real person who analyses the advert, MOT history patterns, photos, pricing and wording in context.

We look for red flags, inconsistencies and missing information, then tell you what questions to ask and whether the car appears sensible to pursue. In most cases, avoiding one bad purchase saves far more than the cost of the report.

  • After checkout, you’ll be asked to provide a few key details so we can carry out your review accurately:

    • A link to the advert (Autotrader, Facebook Marketplace, dealer website, etc.)
    • The vehicle registration (if shown)
    • The seller or dealership name
    • Any screenshots or extra photos if something concerns you
    • Anything specific you’d like us to focus on (for example: price, mileage, previous accidents, etc.)

The more information you share, the more detailed and useful your report will be. If anything is missing, we’ll let you know — we won’t guess. Your details are used only to prepare your report and are never shared with the seller.
